5th Square co-founder David Curtis has begun serving as Interim Chair.
The change follows former Chair Geoff Thompson’s relocation to Los Angeles as a FUSE Corps Fellow to address homelessness in the nation's second-largest city. As part of the transition at 5th Square, co-founder Jake Liefer has begun serving as Treasurer.
Regular followers of 5th Square may notice some slight stylistic changes here and there, but we'll continue the same research-based advocacy that you're accustomed to seeing from us.
These moves are happening at an exciting time for our organization and for many people in Philadelphia. Our challenge, however, remains to leverage that energy and momentum in ways that will lift the entire city. Every Philadelphia neighborhood deserves to benefit from smart planning policies. Toward that end, 5th Square will continue to work for the full adoption of our 2015 Platform in the coming months.
Expect to see more great things from 5th Square in the near future.
