5th Square's endorsed candidate for Mayor, Jim Kenney, and candidates for council at-large, Helen Gym and Blondell Reynold Brown, were elected today and will take office in January 2017. 5th Square endorsed each of these candidates prior to May's primary election and through the general.

On Philly Mag's Citified blog, Pat Kerkstra and Holly Otterbein write, "Jim Kenney won the Democratic mayoral primary in dominating fashion Tuesday night, capturing neighborhoods across the city."

Congratulations to Jim Kenney, Blondell Reynolds Brown, and Helen Gym, and thanks to all of our supporters who voted our slate of endorsed candidates, volunteered for campaigns, contributed time and money, and participated in our endorsement process.
