Join us Wednesday, January 15th for 5th Square's first monthly meet-up of the year, at Dock Street Brewery South from 6-8 pm.

Our monthly meet-ups are a great way to get to know 5th Square members and volunteers, hear from guest speakers on urbanist topics, and start to get involved in transportation and planning politics with us and in your neighborhood.

This month we'll be at Dock Street South discussing the 2020 election and a campaign around the scheduled repaving and restriping of Washington Avenue. Washington Ave is a notoriously dangerous corridor that Councilmembers Mark Squilla and Kenyatta Johnson haven't wanted to touch since a redesign was last considered back in 2014.

The status quo is unacceptable, and it's time to restart the conversation about how we can win a better design ahead of repaving this summer. If you're involved with an RCO or civic association bordering Washington Ave, or are interested in being involved with a street safety campaign here, we especially want to meet you!
