5th Square, Philly's urbanist PAC and advocacy organization, will be hosting a regular monthly meet-up on the second Thursday of the month, starting on May 9th at Craft Hall.
We're hoping these meet-ups will become a fun way for new and existing supporters to connect with other people involved with 5th Square and urbanist issues in Philadelphia, either professionally or in a volunteer/activist capacity, and learn more about what our all-volunteer organization is up to. In the future, we'll also be inviting some guest speakers to come discuss their work with the group. (Suggest possible speakers to us at [email protected]!)
At our May meet-up we'll be talking about 5th Square's 2019 efforts to help elect pro-transit, pro-bike, pro-housing candidates to City Council, and how you can get involved in Get Out the Vote efforts for our endorsed slate of candidates ahead of the primary on May 21st.
We'll also share updates on what our issue committees have been working on, or are planning to take on after the election.
This will be a casual social gathering, so if you've been meaning to check out one of our events or meetings but haven't made it out yet, this will be a good first one to come to. Bring a friend!
