A Fund dedicated specifically to electing Philadelphia Mayoral and Council Candidates for Districts 1 and 2 who will pledge to uphold the City's stated Vision Zero goals.

The funds will be reserved for any endorsed candidate running for these offices who will truly embrace roadway safety and will not accept compromise on a plan like what happened to Washington Avenue.

By canceling the original design for Washington Avenue, the Kenney administration, Councilmember Kenyatta Johnson, and Councilmember Mark Squilla have shown a lack of leadership. They have betrayed the voice of thousands of residents and neighbors who voted overwhelmingly for the safest option, the 3-lane layout. This will result in a more dangerous roadway, especially for its most vulnerable users.
