Friends of Bainbridge Green needs some back-up from public space advocates like you this week.

This Tuesday, November 17 from 7 to 10pm, they're hosting a public comment party at Zakti Fitness (744 S. 4th St.) for the community to come share ideas about the future of the Bainbridge Green--the sadly misnamed stretch of Bainbridge Street between 3rd and 5th Streets that currently looks way more like a surface parking lot than a green public space.

FBG will be presenting three design options from landscape architecture firm Olin that envision some different possibilities for the space. Whichever option gets the best feedback at this meeting is going to have a lot of momentum going forward, and that's where you come in.

Can you attend the comment party and speak up for the most transformative option?

It's going to take some political will to transform the Green into something better than it is today, but we know it has the potential to be one of South Philly's greatest public spaces if we all ask Councilman Squilla and neighborhood decision-makers for true greatness.
