Spruce & Pine Streets in Center City have the busiest bike lanes in Philadelphia - with over 1,500 daily riders. These bike lanes are frequently blocked by vehicles and are unsafe for all users, seeing multiple deaths and serious injuries over the past 5 years.
The City of Philadelphia proposed a plan to add concrete and planter separation to the Spruce & Pine Street bike lanes. This will prevent drivers from entering the bike lanes and create a safe space for cyclists.
