SEPTA FY2022 Capital Budget Hearings

Join us as we advocate for better allocation of Capital funds at SEPTA's FY2021 Capital Budget Hearings.  Due to the Covid-19, these hearings will be held online.

The schedule of Virtual Capital Budget Public Hearings is as follows:

May 26, 2021 - 11:30 am & 5:00 pm

5th Square is seeking volunteers who can make public comment at these hearings! Let us know if you can help by submitting your RSVP, and we will reach out with talking points.

At this hearing, SEPTA will present the proposed Fiscal Year 2022 Capital Budget and the Fiscal Years 2022-2033 Capital Program. Each session of the hearing will begin with a pre-recorded segment that will include the hearing examiner’s opening remarks, a reading of SEPTA’s official testimony by a representative of the Authority and the playing of a corresponding Power Point Presentation. This recording will be posted for viewing on SEPTA’s website at www.septa.org/notice beginning on or about May 20, 2021. After the pre-recorded segment, the hearings will be opened for public comment. SEPTA representatives will be available at each hearing to listen to public comments and public testimony. A sign language interpreter will be used during the public hearings.

Public Participation Opportunities:

• Individuals wishing to attend or speak during the virtual hearings must pre-register at www.septa.org/notice.

• Persons desiring to provide oral comments or testimony about the Capital Budget may call 215-580-7771 and submit such comments or testimony via voicemail message.

• Persons wishing to file written comments may mail them to the Director, Capital Budgets, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, 1234 Market St., 9th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19107.

• Individuals may submit comments via email to: [email protected].

All comments received will become part of the public record and will be forwarded to the Hearing Examiner. To be included in the public record, comments must be received by June 2, 2021 5:00 pm.
