The paint is barely dry on the new two-way protected bike lane and crosswalks on S 11th Street, and already the street feels so much safer for people walking and biking. 

Neighbors overwhelmingly supported the changes to 11th at community meetings, but not everybody is convinced yet. Flyers started popping up in the area this week asking neighbors to contact Councilmember Mark Squilla to have the new markings removed.

Mayor Kenney, the Office of Transportation, Infrastructure and Sustainability, and Council member Squilla need to hear from voters who support these important safety improvements on 11th Street.
