Transit tailgates, rallies at State Senate offices, and organizing actions across Philly are powered by your support--please consider making a contribution to Transit Forward Philadelphia to fund the fight to save SEPTA.

🚲 FRIDAY: CONCRETE NOW PROTEST RIDE

Join Philly Bike Action's protest ride this Friday on September 5th at 5:45pm to ensure the city follows through on its promise to add concrete protection to Spruce and Pine Streets.

An internal city memo has revealed a recommendation to install concrete curb protection on ONLY HALF of the Spruce and Pine bike lanes—compromising everyone’s safety for the convenience of a vocal minority.

Join the ride to tell city leaders, paint is not protection, concrete now!

🙅‍♀️ TELL CHOP: NO GRAYS FERRY GARAGE

This Saturday, join neighbors in the Grays Ferry community in a rally & press conference telling CHOP NO to a 1,000+ car parking garage at 3000 Grays Ferry Ave.

This parking garage will outsource CHOP's pollution to an already heavily polluted neighborhood instead of supporting environmentally friendly modes of transportation.

If you haven't already, sign our petition opposing this garage and follow @no_chopgarage on Instagram

đź“° 5TH SQUARE IN THE NEWS

Inquirer.com: Lawsuit calls for SEPTA cuts to be reversed for harming low-income Philadelphians

“This lawsuit is not a solution to anything,” said Alex Milone, transportation chair for urbanist PAC 5th Square. “It is a dangerous distraction that risks bankrupting SEPTA even faster … and forcing expensive and crippling short-term fixes over stable long-term funding.”

Metro Philadelphia: Lawsuit targets SEPTA as cuts, funding talks continue

5th Square, the urbanist advocacy organization, slammed the lawsuit as a “dangerous distraction” from the Pennsylvania Senate GOP leaders they say have been holding up a funding deal.

🚨 ACTION ITEMS

🚲 Parking-Protected Bike Lane Petition

Parking-protected bike lanes are a great way to make our bikes lanes safer and lower stress, but they are illegal in PA! The Bicycle Coalition is fighting for their legalization. Sign their petition to show your support for safer bike lanes!

đźš« Grays Ferry Is Not a Parking Lot

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is proposing a 1,000-vehicle parking garage at 30th and Grays Ferry Avenue. This garage would be over 70 feet tall, reserved for employees, and would require a separate shuttle service. Sign our petition telling CHOP: Don't Treat Grays Ferry as a Parking Lot

🛣️ Stop I-95 Expansion

PennDOT is planning to expand I-95 in Center City and South Philly by adding lanes and new ramps. This will threaten the well-being of our neighborhoods by worsening air quality, increasing noise pollution, harming our access to the waterfront, and destroying sports facilities. To make matters worse, PennDOT has been deceitful about its engagement efforts.

Join us in telling PennDOT that highway expansion has no place in the core of Philadelphia by signing our petition.
