SEPTA Fare Hearings

Join us as we advocate for a more equitable fare structure at SEPTA's Fare Restructuring Hearings.  Due to the Covid-19, these hearings will be held online.

Tuesday, May 26th, 2020 - 11:00 am & 6:00 pm

Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 - 10:00 am & 4:00 pm

SEPTA will be using WebEx to conduct these hearings.  Details on how to connect will be forthcoming.

5th Square is seeking volunteers who can make public comment at these hearings!  Let us know if you can help by submitting your RSVP and we will send you the sign-up link with talking points.

We are focusing on the first hearing (May 26th at 11 am) but you can sign up for whichever one you like.

Each hearing session will begin with a pre-recorded segment that will include the Hearing Examiner's opening remarks, a reading of SEPTA's official testimony by representatives of the Authority and the playing of a corresponding Power Point Presentation. This recording will be posted for viewing on SEPTA's website at www.septa.org/notice beginning on or about May 15, 2020. After the pre-recorded segment, the hearings will be opened for public comment. The Hearing Examiner and representatives of the Authority will be available at each hearing to listen to public comments. Closed Captioning will be used in the pre-recorded segment and a sign language interpreter will be used during the public comment segment.
