🚸 PENNDOT VULNERABLE ROAD USER SURVEY

PennDOT is out with a new user survey of vulnerable road users (pedestrians and cyclists.) The purpose of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Vulnerable Road User Safety Assessment is to evaluate the state’s safety performance for pedestrians and cyclists, and to develop a plan to improve safety for these travelers. Filling out this survey will help PennDOT to identify concerns for vulnerable road users, so that they may recommend improvements to alleviate these concerns.

🚲 NINTH ANNUAL INDEGO SURVEY

If you're interested in contributing to the success of our city's bike-share program, please consider filling out Indego's 9th annual user survey. By filling out this survey, you are providing valuable feedback to help make Indego better. Please share this survey with your friends and networks, even if they don't use bike share.

We would like there to be a single-ride option to lower the barrier to entry for occasional users and visitors. Question 4 asks what is one thing that would get you to ride Indego again. You can choose "If there were a single trip pass option" for your answer if this is something you would like to see happen as well!

🖥 Improving SEPTA Real-Time tracking

Billy Penn's Meir Rinde wrote last week about SEPTA General Manager Leslie Richard's push toward customer service, which is necessary to get things like real-time tracking and countdown clocks working.

Since Richard's took over as general manager of the agency back in 2020, "she’s ushered in a “massive shift” in priorities...suggesting that over the next year riders will start seeing the fruits of a big behind-the-scenes push to improve customer service and make the system more user-friendly." The aforementioned fruits are things like a better tracking app, and in-station digital countdown clocks.
