Newsletter: Support Protected Bike Lanes at Public Meetings TONIGHT, Philly's Vision Zero Misses, 5th Square's January Meetings

ACTION

TODAY! Protected Bike Lane Double Feature at Center City RCOs. Support protected bicycle lanes in Philadelphia by attending one of two RCO meetings tonight, both starting at 7pm.

Washington Square West Civic Association will be debating a proposed roadway reconfiguration and potential protected bike lane on 10th and 13th streets in Center City.  Logan Square Neighborhood Association will be discussing the future of the piloted protected bike lanes on JFK Blvd and Market Street and whether to make it permanent.  Come to one of these two meetings, especially if you live, work, or use any of these routes in the area.

Slow Zone Applications are due next Friday, January 18th!  Check out the advocacy tools on our new 'Neighborhood Slow Zone' Campaign Resources page, and get started organizing for slow zones in your neighborhood. After your application is submitted, join us for a slow zone happy hour next Friday over at Le Viet on 11th and Washington!

5th Square members are invited to attend a members-only meeting on January 23rd where we'll be kicking off our 2019 City Council organizing efforts with a special briefing on the state of the campaign landscape, and an informal straw poll of members to help inform our 2019 endorsement process.  Become a member today or sign up at the event, and help us organize for the 2019 Council elections!
